This policy explains what 1st Street Solutions Inc. (“1st Street”, “we”) collects when you use 1st-street.com, order delivery, or use our in-store tablets, why we collect it, and what we never do with it. Questions? Email info@1st-street.com.

Age verification and your ID

Everything we sell is for adults of legal age only. We verify every customer’s age before handing over an order.

What we accept as proof of age:

  • a valid (unexpired) government-issued state ID or driver’s license;
  • a valid passport;
  • an original, DMV-issued temporary ID.

Expired IDs aren’t accepted, and neither are photocopies or photos of an ID shown on a phone.

How we collect it. We ask for a photo of your ID, and a selfie of you holding it, at checkout or when we confirm your order, or by text message if you don’t send them then. Photos you upload at checkout are checked by our manager and deleted from our website within 48 hours. Before we keep anything on file, we explain what we keep and why, and ask for your OK.

Your choice: keep your ID on file, or show it every time.

  • If you don’t consent to storage, we don’t save any photo of you or your ID. We’ll check your ID with every order instead.
  • If you consent, we keep a photo of your ID and a selfie of you holding it on file until that ID expires. This lets us confirm your age without asking every time, and it lets your driver know who they’re meeting at the door, which keeps our drivers safe.
  • When a stored ID expires, you get one grace order while you wait for your new ID. After that, we’ll need your new, valid ID before the next delivery.
  • You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@1st-street.com, and we’ll delete your stored photos within 7 days. After that we’ll check your ID with every order.

How stored ID photos are protected. They’re kept on our passcode-protected store phones, not synced to any cloud service. The manager phone holds them on file. For each delivery, the driver’s company phone gets only what’s needed for that stop: your name, address, phone number and selfie. They’re seen only by the staff and drivers who need them to verify your age and complete your delivery, and deleted when the ID expires or you withdraw consent. We never sell them, never use them for marketing, and never share them with any third party outside our own delivery workflow. We never hand ID photos to any government agency or anyone else on request. We release information only when a valid court order or warrant legally compels us to, and when the law allows, we’ll tell you first.

At the door. Your driver will only hand your order to someone who has passed our age verification. Drivers aren’t allowed to leave orders unattended anywhere, such as at a door or on a porch, for anyone. If no verified adult is there to receive it, the order goes back to the store.

If we can’t deliver. Once your order is confirmed, your driver texts you an ETA from their own number (not the number that confirmed your order). At your address, the driver waits about 5 minutes so the deliveries after yours aren’t held up. If nobody comes out or answers, the driver moves on, the delivery is marked failed, and we text you right away to let you know. The delivery fee pays your driver for the trip, so:

  • Cash orders: you’ll owe the delivery fee from the failed delivery on your next order. We keep a note of it on your customer record until it’s paid.
  • Venmo or Zelle orders: we refund your payment minus the delivery fee and any payment fees.

We use these measures to prevent fraud and underage sales, and to keep our customers and drivers safe.

What we collect

When you order: your name, delivery address, phone number, email address, what you ordered and the order total. We use this to fill and deliver your order, contact you about it, and keep the records the law requires.

Payments: you pay by Venmo, Zelle, cash at the door, or a split of Venmo or Zelle plus cash. We never see or store card numbers. For Venmo and Zelle we may note the name shown on the payment so we can match it to your order.

Delivery tracking: while your order is out, your assigned driver’s location is shared with you so you can see when it’ll arrive. Your address and phone number are shared with that driver only to deliver your order.

Your account (optional): your login details, your order history and your points balance.

Points and referrals

If you have an account, you earn points on delivered orders and can use them for money off later orders. We keep a history of the points you earn and use.

If you share a referral link, we track whether a friend used it and how much they’ve spent, so we can credit your reward. To stop people gaming referrals, we compare signals such as the device, network address and payment name on the orders involved. We use these only to check referrals, never to advertise to you.

Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies (set by 1st-street.com itself, not by advertisers):

CookieWhat it’s forHow long
Age confirmationRemembers that you confirmed you’re of legal age, so we don’t ask on every pageabout 90 days
fsl_refRemembers the friend’s referral link you arrived from, so your welcome discount and their reward work30 days
fsl_devA random ID for this browser, used only to spot referral abuse (for example, someone referring themselves)1 year
fs_kioskSet only on our in-store tablets, so checkout uses the tablet’s on-screen camera2 hours
WooCommerce cart and login cookiesKeep your cart and keep you signed inyour visit, or until you sign out

We also count page visits and checkout steps on our own site, in daily totals by traffic source (for example search or social). This uses no cookies and stores no personal information. Your browser keeps a short note of the source for the current tab only, and it’s gone when you close the tab.

We also use a few outside services that can set their own cookies or collect basic visit data:

  • Jetpack Stats and WooCommerce Analytics (by Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com) count page views and shopping activity so we can see which pages and products people use. The data is collected in a privacy-light way and we don’t use it to identify you.
  • Google reCAPTCHA protects our login and forms from bots. Google receives technical information about your visit to do this.
  • Send (our email and text marketing service) notes when you submit a sign-up form on our site.

We don’t use advertising pixels (such as Facebook or TikTok) and we don’t sell or share your browsing data for advertising.

Emails

We only send marketing emails if you sign up and confirm your address (double opt-in). Every email has an unsubscribe link. Order and account emails (receipts, delivery updates, password links, points you’ve earned) are sent whether or not you’re on the list, because they’re part of your order or account.

In-store tablets

Our tablets let you browse and order. At checkout they can take your ID photo and selfie with the tablet’s camera; the photos go straight to your order and are never saved on the tablet. The tablet forgets you when you leave the page.

Who we share information with

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising. We share only what’s needed with:

  • our drivers, to deliver your order;
  • the service providers that run our website, email and backups, under agreements to keep it confidential;
  • Venmo and Zelle, when you choose to pay with them. They process your payment under their own privacy policies.

How long we keep it

  • ID photos and selfies uploaded at checkout: deleted from our website within 48 hours.
  • Stored ID photos and selfies (with your consent): until the ID expires or you withdraw consent, whichever comes first.
  • Order records: we keep them as our sales history, with no set end date.
  • Your account and points history: until you ask us to remove them.
  • Marketing list: until you unsubscribe.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or close your account, by emailing info@1st-street.com. We’ll answer within 30 days. When you ask us to remove your account, we delete your profile and points history, and we remove your name, address, phone number and email from your past orders. We keep the sales figures from those orders, labeled with a random reference number instead of your name. If an account was closed for fraud or abuse, we keep that reference number so the same person can’t simply open a new account and order again.

Children

Our site and products are only for adults of legal age (21 or older). We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under that age.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. For a significant change, we’ll tell account holders by email.
